RULES FOR USE (WEARING) JEWELLERY

The applicable rules apply to all jewellery and inserts.

Jewellery must be used (worn) under conditions that exclude:

  1. Negligent or improper use (various mechanical damage to the product or inserts)

  2. Contact with acids and alkalis (including cleaning and washing agents)

  3. Interaction with substances containing chlorine, iodine, mercury, sulphur and their compounds (may be contained, for example, in cosmetics and swimming pool water)

  4. Contact with solvents (e.g. nail polish remover, stain removers or detergents)

  5. Exposure of the inserts and the product to open flames, high, low and rapidly changing temperatures (e.g. in saunas and solariums)

  6. Exposure to dyes

  7. Exposure to abrasive substances and materials (e.g. nail files, household cleaning agents or toothpaste)

  8. Negative effects of radiation (e.g. radioactive, X-ray and ultraviolet radiation)

  9. Contact with other chemicals that may damage the product.

It is recommended to store each item separately in a soft case to avoid scratches and chips.

We sincerely hope that the jewellery purchased from us will please and delight you and your loved ones, and we hope that you will not have to contact us for repairs.

Jewellery from SOLO for Diamonds requires constant care and special attention. Here are some tips on how to properly care for your jewellery so that it remains beautiful and retains its shine:

  1. Wearing jewellery:

  • Take off before visiting a bathhouse, sauna, swimming pool, gym when performing physical activities, solarium, thermal springs or on the beach;

  • Take off before doing household chores;

  • Protect from mechanical damage, impact, falls (minor deformation of the product may weaken the fastening of stone inserts);

  • Protect from contact with cosmetics (especially alcohol-based), hair styling products, household chemicals; try not to wear jewellery when applying cosmetics (hairspray, creams, perfumes), as chemicals can damage the surface of the metal or stones. Put on jewellery after applying make-up and styling your hair.

  • It is best to take off jewellery at night to avoid damage while sleeping.

  1. Storage:

  • Keep jewellery separately from each other to avoid scratches and damage. Use soft fabric pouches or special jewellery boxes.

  • Keep jewellery in a dry place, away from moisture.

  • Protect from sudden temperature changes, dry and very humid air, avoid high temperatures (keep away from hair dryers, fireplaces, heating appliances).

  • When travelling, make sure your jewellery is safely stored in soft cloths or special containers. This will help prevent damage or loss.

  1. Cleaning:

  • Clean your jewellery regularly. You can use special soft cloths for jewellery to remove traces of oxidation or dirt. It is important to avoid aggressive chemicals

  • For deeper cleaning, please contact us or a specialised jewellery workshop to clean your jewellery without damaging it; ultrasonic cleaning of these items is prohibited. Specialised cleaning products and methods not only restore shine, but also preserve the stone in its original condition.

  • Periodically check your jewellery for cracks or loose stones. If a stone is loose or has fallen out, it is best to contact us or a specialist jewellery workshop.

By following these simple rules, you can keep your jewellery in good condition for many years.

Bio resin jewellery requires special care, as this material can be sensitive to temperature, moisture and mechanical damage. Here are some tips for caring for such jewellery:

  1. Avoid prolonged contact with water:

    • Bio resin can absorb moisture, which may cause discolouration or damage. Do not wear bio resin jewellery while swimming, showering or in the rain.

  2. Store in a dry place:

    • Store bio resin jewellery in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause the resin to yellow or lose its lustre.

  3. Caution with chemicals:

    • Avoid contact with cosmetics, perfumes, household chemicals or other aggressive substances, as they may damage the surface of the bio resin or change its colour.

  4. Cleaning jewellery:

    • Use only a soft cloth or tissue for cleaning. If the jewellery is very dirty, you can wipe it with a soft damp cloth, but do not allow water to get inside the product.

    • Do not use harsh cleaning agents or abrasive materials, as these may scratch or damage the resin surface

  5. Precautions when wearing:

    • Bio resin may be less resistant to mechanical damage than metals or stones. Try to avoid impact or friction to prevent scratching or breaking the jewellery.

    • It is also recommended to remove jewellery before going to the bath, sauna, swimming pool, gym, solarium or beach, or when doing physical activities or housework.

  6. Store separately:

    • To prevent scratches and damage, store bio-resin jewellery separately from other jewellery (especially metal jewellery) in soft fabric pouches or boxes.

Bio-resin jewellery requires a little more care, but with proper use and storage, it can serve you for a long time and remain beautiful.

Metals in jewelry

Metal as a base

In jewelry, metal plays a constructive role. It determines the stability of the shape, the reliability of fixing the stones and the nature of wear during the wearing process.
The choice of alloy is formed on the basis of the properties of the material and its behavior over time.

It is these parameters that underlie the durability and aesthetic beauty of the decoration.

Solo for Diamonds Materials

Jewelry Solo for Diamonds basic are made from 585 white gold.
This choice is conscious and is based on a combination of mechanical strength, predictable wear and stable performance of the metal in daily wear.

Gold 585 proof:

  • ensures reliable fixation of diamonds;
  • maintains the geometry of the product over time;
  • demonstrates high resistance to deformations.

By individual order, it is possible to make jewelry:

  • in gold 750 samples;
  • in yellow or pink gold;
  • in platinum.

The choice of metal does not change the concept of the product, but affects its physical characteristics, color and feeling in wearing.

585 gold: practical standard

585 gold contains 58.5% pure gold, the remaining — are alloying metals that increase the hardness and wear resistance of the alloy.

From a technical point of view, this means:

  • less tendency to deformities;
  • stability of thin structural elements;
  • reducing the risk of loose fixed inserts during wearing.

That is why the 585 sample is widely used for jewelry designed for regular use.

750 gold: purity and plasticity

750 gold contains 75% pure gold, which directly affects its properties.

Characteristic features:

  • deeper, richer natural color;
  • increased plasticity;
  • softer response to mechanical stresses.

Such products require more careful handling and periodic professional care, which is natural for a metal with a high content of pure gold.

Platinum: density and noble evolution of the surface

Platinum — is a noble metal with high density and characteristic structure. Its feature is plasticity, thanks to which the metal reacts to wear not by loss of mass, but by a soft change of surface.

Over time, a uniform patina — natural effect is formed on platinum, which:

  • emphasizes the depth of the material;
  • gives the decoration an individual character;
  • perceived as a sign of «living» metal.

If necessary, the platinum surface can be updated with professional polishing, returning it to its original smoothness without interfering with the structure of the product.

Rodiation: Surface and color control

Rodiation — is the application of a thin layer of rhodium, a platinum group metal, to the surface of a piece of jewelry.
In white gold jewelry, rhodiation performs several functions at once.

Aesthetic function

  • aligns the color of white gold;
  • gives a cold, clean shade;
  • emphasizes the optical purity of diamonds.

Protective function

Rhodium has a higher hardness compared to gold, so the coating:

  • reduces the formation of micropratches;
  • slows surface wear;
  • creates an additional barrier between the base metal and the external environment.

The rhodium coating has a limited resource and gradually wears out, especially in areas of active contact. Its update is a standard service procedure that allows you to completely restore the original appearance of the product.

Care of jewelry

To preserve the technical and visual characteristics of jewelry, it is recommended:

  • avoid contact with household and cosmetic chemicals;
  • remove jewelry during physical activity;
  • store the articles separately in soft cases;
  • periodically carry out professional cleaning, inspection of fasteners and, if necessary, renewal of rhodium.

IN Solo for Diamonds we work with metal as carefully as with diamond —, taking into account its properties, behavior over time and role in everyday life, so that the decoration remains accurate in shape, practical in wearing and relevant for years.
